Capturing Albion: A Community Photo Contest Celebrating History, Nature, and Beauty

Calling all photographers, newbies and pros! Albion is a town rich in history, breathtaking outdoor landscapes, and amazing views. What better way to celebrate our community's essence than through the lens of a camera?

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Albion Community Photo Contest, where residents young and old can showcase their talent, creativity, and love for our beloved town. This contest isn't just about taking pictures; it's about telling the story of Albion through imagery.

Here's how it works: The contest will span three submission dates throughout the year, each with a unique theme that encapsulates different facets of Albion's charm.

Historic Albion

Our town is steeped in history, from iconic buildings, memorable statues, and stunning landmarks. This could span from Albion College’s campus to the historic downtown district. Show us your perspective on Historic Albion. 

Submission Deadline: April 1st | Winners Announced: By April 21st 

Albion's Outdoors 

Albion is filled with natural beauty, from lush green parks to winding trails and serene waterways. This theme encourages participants to explore the great outdoors and showcase the breathtaking landscapes that make Albion a haven for outdoor lovers. 

Submission Deadline: July 1st | Winners Announced: By July 21st

Albion's Best View

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in Albion, beauty is all around us. Whether it's a panoramic cityscape, a stunning sunset, or a picturesque overlook, this theme challenges participants to seek out and capture Albion's best views. What makes Albion truly special to you?

Submission Deadline: November 1st | Winners Announced: By November 21st 

Each submission will be judged based on creativity, composition, and relevance to the theme. Submitting photos grants Pure Albion the right to use the photos at our discretion including social media postings, printing, and products. Artist’s credit will be given on all platforms. Limit to 5 submissions per person per round.
